Josie Lucio, also known to her family and friends as “Cindy,” passed on Monday, Sept. 27, 2021. Josie was born Nov. 2, 1946, in Morenci, Arizona, to Antonio and Eulalia Moreno.

 

She is survived by her husband, Daniel, and her children, Debra, Toni (Keithan), and Jessica, as well as nine grandchildren (Angelica, Daniel, Alexandria, Zachary, Michael, Elijah, Logan, Trinity, and Joseph) and 3 great-grandchildren (Isabella, Luis, and Gabriel). Josie is also survived by six siblings, Alicia, Tomas, Inez, MaryAnn, Diana and Nellie, and many nieces and nephews.

 

Josie attended cosmetology school in Phoenix after graduating from high school in Morenci, married Daniel and moved to Green Valley, AZ, where they both worked and where she had a successful and lengthy career with her Salon de Belleza.

 

Services will be held on Oct. 30, 2021 at 10 am at the Harvest Center Christian Church, 965 W. 24th St, Tucson, AZ 85713. Reception will follow.
