Carlos C Muñoz

November 04, 1944 - December 24, 2021

On Friday, December 24, 2021, as others were celebrating Christmas Eve with their families, our world stood still as Carlos Corona Muñoz, age 77, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, and mentor earned his angel wings and went to his eternal home to be with our savior, Jesus Christ.

Carlos was born on November 4, 1944, in Autlán de Navarro, Jalisco, MX. He is preceded in death by his parents Leocadio and Francisca Muñoz. He is survived by his loving wife, Dora Maria Muñoz, his 5 sisters, Raquel, Gloria, Maria Elena, Olga, and Rocio and his 7 brothers, Javier, Heriberto, Hector, David, Raul, Luis, and Cesar, and his 3 children, Juan Carlos Muñoz (Tanya), Patricia McCullough (Slade), and Andres Muñoz (Mariela), 5 grandchildren, Gricel, Jesse, Ezequiel, Jonathan, and Jaden, and his 2 great grandchildren Liam and Juliet and numerous nieces and nephews.

Carlos immigrated to the United States in the late 1960’s, where he worked as a foundry man in California. By the late 1980’s Carlos moved him family to Tucson, AZ. Where he continued his work with different fabrication companies. As well as being his families go-to when it came to almost anything, from handy work, to botany, to Catholicism and everything else in between.

Carlos spent his life devoted as a faithful servant of God, doing much of his church work at Saint John Evangelist Catholic Church in Tucson, AZ.

Carlos enjoyed watching television and movies, mostly with his eyes closed. He enjoyed tickling people until they couldn’t handle it and they would squirm like worms begging for mercy. He enjoyed playing the guitar and showing those around him his love for the instrument. He always had to be up and doing something, there was a never a time where you would find him sitting still doing nothing, even after undergoing open heart surgery he was still unstoppable. He is known for caring and compassionate soul, always willing to lend a helping hand.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 11th, 2022. The viewing will take place at Avenidas Cremation & Burial at 8:30 am, followed by the rosary at 10:30 am. The funeral mass is to follow at St John Evangelist Catholic Church at noon.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
