Dad,
Happy Birthday! This time last year we brought you up a Rib Dinner, Cake and saw you through the door because of COVID. Who knew it would be your last Birthday! I’m glad I cherished all the times we had together in live time and never missed an opportunity to be with you. Selfishly, it still hurts bad being without you pop I miss you every day. So does Chrissy and the kids. They will make you their hand written Birthday cards as always, certain things like that I will never let go. I know you are in a better place with no suffering and look forward to the day when we will be together again!
Love you Best Buddy xoxoxoxo

Dad,
I always knew if this day came it would be so hard to let go. But this is even harder than I ever imagined. I miss you terribly! You were more than just a dad we were Best Friends and I’m so glad I told you that as you often hung up the phone or hugged me goodbye saying, “Love ya Best Buddy.” I visit you often as it makes me feel like that we still have the close relationship that we always had even though I can’t see you anymore. Then later in the day, something hits me and I realize that you are gone and it’s a sucker punch to the gut all over again just like the day that you passed. When I am happy or doing something that I enjoy, I’m not as happy as I once was, or it’s not as enjoyable as it once was, when you were still here. I often think to myself maybe it’s not a wonderful thing to love someone so much because the closer you are the more this hurts. You were the absolute perfect father and human being. You were the most Unselfish individual I have ever met. I try to live up to your standards but in my heart i know i can’t. I often teased you that I was smarter than you because I made Captain before you did in your career, but that was just a joke because I knew I don’t have a tenth of your brains or knowledge. I will always treasure the knowledge and advice that you gave to me through the years. I will never forget all the great memories we had together from all the great vacations, little league games, football trips, birthdays , holidays, and the hours upon hours we spent on Sundays together all the way up to the end. I will never forget all that you did for me and all that you provided me with throughout the years. You once told me before I had children that if I thought I loved you it doesn’t compare to the love that I would have for my children. Through the years I could see what you meant because it’s a different kind of love as I love my children so much and would do anything for them. However, this may have been the one time in your life that you were wrong because my love for you does compare to the love that I have for my children. Mom misses you but the family is doing our best to be around her often and showering her with our love to help fill the void in her heart. Dad, I just hope and pray that you are no longer suffering and in pain and that you are up in Heaven and happy with little Vincent, your mom and dad, Uncle Carl, Aunt Mary, Frank. and all the others whom you love and that some day I will be with you again.
Love your Best Buddy,

Dad,
This has to be the hardest thing I ever had to write. The reason is there are so many things I could say But where does one start. You were Always there for not only me But all of us Always. I remember you working in North Central Detectives 12x8 and I would go with you and I was 10!!! I couldnt sleep and you would stay up with me and we would watch Charlie Chan Movies and the Honeymooners till 1 am on a School night! When I was sick You were there, In times of trouble You were there. You taught us Always do the right thing, even when you do not want to, it builds character and you will be a better person for it. I could go on and on and in my 57 years of being your son I can quote you for another 57 years! You always said I was the Best Father you know. I told you That wasnt true YOU WERE! When my Vincent passed in July you told me He was a Prince in Heaven now. Dad, I hope its true and you both are together in Heaven. You made me the Man I am and Father I was. No son could admire, cherish, Be Thankful or Love their Father More then I do you. I am glad you always heard me say I Love you as you did to me. Even the last time I seen you I kissed you goodbye. I remember in my 20’s you hugged and kissed me Goodbye and I was embarrassed. You said You are never to old to hug and Kiss your Father. You were right!!!! Ill never forget or not think of you all my living days. Dad, I Love You and Thank You! Vince

Grandpop, You were one of the greatest men I’ve ever met in my whole entire life. I thank you for everything you’ve taught me and how you guided me throughout life. No one I know could ever hold a candle to you! Men aren’t made anymore like you, and I hope that I made you proud. I’ve been praying that you’re in a better place now and no longer suffering. Thank you for the lifetime of memories you’ve gave me and the ones that we’ve created together. I could go on and on for hours about you. I love you always and forever and I promise to never forget you.

On behalf of the Dallas Cowboys, we extend our deepest sympathy and heartfelt well wishes to the entire DeBlasis family for the loss of our dear friend Vince.
A wonderful father, grandfather, husband, patriarch and public servant, we share in the sorrow that all of his family and those who loved him, are experiencing at this sad time.
Our hearts go out to the City of Philadelphia and all of the citizens that Vince came in contact with, protected, and made their community more secure as the product of his pride in his profession and his family’s legacy of police work and public safety.
Although he was a devout Dallas Cowboys fan, a trait that wasn’t always easily understood amongst his brethren in Philadelphia, he was a proud and cherished citizen of—and a wonderful ambassador for —the City of Brotherly Love, the home that he loved so much.
We will miss Vince.
Philadelphia’s loss is deeply felt in Dallas.
We will never forget him.
Rest In Peace.
