JongYeol Park

August 10, 1947 - May 15, 2023

JongYeol Park was a caring father, husband, son, brother, and friend. He peacefully left this world on May 15, 2023. He was beloved and full of affection for his family and friends.  
 
Jong Yeol was born on August 10, 1947, in Seoul, South Korea. He grew up in South Korea with his mom, dad, three brothers and a sister. As a teenager, JongYeol was fun loving, outgoing, and athletic. As a young man, he served in the Korean military and received a Business Degree from Kyung Hee University. Soon after, he met his wife. They had three daughters together. 
 
In the 1980s, JongYeol and his family immigrated to California.  While navigating a new country with limited English, he was able to support his family working various jobs. He was hardworking and made every effort to provide a livelihood for his family. With his support, his daughters were able to pursue the American Dream. 
 
JongYeol enjoyed the outdoors and shared his love and respect for nature with his daughters who have learned to do the same. He also had a strong faith and love for God.   
 
Along with his daughters, JongYeol is survived by his wife, brothers, and sister. He is also survived by his grandchildren. 
 
JongYeol’s ashes will be interred at Forest Lawn, Covina.
