John J. Fitzgerald (Jack), 85, husband of Mary L. (Keough) Fitzgerald, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 23, 2023, with his family by his side.  

Born in Shenandoah, PA, he was the son of the late John J. Fitzgerald Sr. and Helen (Walsh) Fitzgerald.

Jack was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed watching horse races and playing cards. Jack took pride in his vehicles throughout the years, taking time to detail and making sure they always looked pristine. He was a member of St. Teresa of Calcutta Roman Catholic Church. 

Surviving, along with his wife Mary of 63 years, are his children Kathleen O”Donnell, wife of Brian, Mary P. Fitzgerald, Eileen McMahon, wife of Brian, Diane McCarney, wife of Thomas, Joan Phillips, wife of Fred, and Patrick M. Fitzgerald; He was a proud Pop Pop to 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He is predeceased by his son John J. Fitzgerald, husband of Christine.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at 11:00AM at St. Teresa of Calcutta Church (256 Swamp Pike, Schwenksville, PA 19473) with Fr. Jeffrey Rott officiating. Preceding the mass, a visitation for friends and family to gather will be held from 10:00-10:45AM at the church. A private burial will be held by the family at a later date. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish in John’s name.
