GK Bash-Griffith passed away October 22, 2025 from a major and totally unexpected heart attack. She was born and raised in Santa Ana CA, the youngest of three children born to Gerald and Virginia Bash. She attended Northwest Christian College (now Bushnell University) in Eugene, Oregon. From a very early age music was a big part of her life and during her college years she sang with the Continental Singers and traveled internationally with the group. For most of her 76 years she was involved with church choirs and other vocal groups. Her working years were spent in the insurance industry, working for independent insurance agencies. In the 1980’s she met and married the love of her life, Lynn Griffith. Both shared a love of music, running, and biking. She and Lynn traveled the world for his many Ironman Competitions. When Lynn’s health prevented him from continuing to run, they entered competitions in which GK did the running and Lynn did the biking. GK discovered Pickle Ball in her later years and began playing regularly, adding another circle of friends to her already wide network of friends. She was a beloved friend, wife, daughter, sister, but above all, she was a woman of faith, a child of God. And while those of us left behind are saddened by our loss, we are comforted by her gain. She is survived by her brother Gail (Carol), nephews Rich, Rusty, and Gary, several great-nieces and nephews, a huge group of friends, and her faithful cocker spaniel, Rocky. In lieu of flowers, a contribution to Oregon Humane Society or Bushnell University would surely make her smile.
