Johnny Sexton, of Vancouver, WA, transitioned from this life on November, 24, 2025 in Portland, OR.
Johnny was born September 30, 1966 in Memphis, TN. He grew up in Charlotte, NC and lived in NC until 2019, when he moved to Vancouver, WA. He spent his last years enjoying the beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
Those left to remember him include his son; Johnny Sexton, Jr.; grandchildren, Emorey and Eli; father, Calvin Sexton and wife Janice of Charlotte, NC; sister Pamela Passman(Mike)of Hickory, NC; sister Jennifer Barrett(Dion)of Charlotte, NC; three nieces; five nephews, and many extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Maxine Kelly.
Growing up, Johnny enjoyed all sports and was a talented athlete, playing on baseball, basketball, and football teams. He also enjoyed bowling, camping, water skiing, and especially loved fishing. He was an energetic, very outgoing person who loved to laugh and make others laugh. He was hardworking, smart, and skilled at various trades, there wasn’t much he couldn’t do. He persevered through many challenges in his life.
Johnny was deeply loved by his family and will be remembered by many.
The family will hold a private memorial service to honor his life. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to an addiction recovery program.
