William Henry Smith Jr., a devoted father, brother, and friend, entered into rest on November 26, 2025. Born on August 13, 1959, in Florida to William Henry Smith Sr. and Mildred D. Smith, William’s journey through life was marked by faith, resilience, and love.

William spent his early years in Florida before relocating to Hawaii and ultimately settling in Oakland, California. He attended Alameda High School and Oakland High School, furthering his education at various colleges.

A man of strong faith, William was a faithful attendee of the church in Berkeley where he was baptized. His devotion to the Lord was central to his life, finding comfort and strength in prayer and reading his favorite book, the Bible. William's spirit remained unbroken, and he continued to walk in faith and hope.

William’s passions included watching football especially cheering on his beloved Dallas Cowboys with his only son, Joshua Smith. He also enjoyed bowling, drawing, walking, and listening to music.

He is remembered for his kind heart and generous spirit, always willing to give the shirt off his back.
